Hi, I'm Aiesha.

I know what it feels like to not feel seen.

I was bullied for years. Then I became the bully. I spent a long time trying to figure out who I really was. After my vitiligo diagnosis, I had to learn to stop hiding and start accepting myself.

Now I tell the real story, the good and the hard parts, to students in gyms, to teams at work, and to parents trying to reach their kids. When I'm honest, people get honest too. That's where the change starts.

What students explore

A story that opens the door.

This isn't a lecture. Students laugh, think, answer questions and see themselves in the story.

Bullying and the power of words Belonging and fitting in Identity and self-worth Friendship and peer pressure Comparison and social media Owning your choices Asking for help

Students are invited to reflect. No student ever has to share something personal.

My skin is part of my story. I don't hide it anymore.

  1. Bullied for years

I know what it feels like to dread walking into school.

  2. Then I became the bully

I share this part on purpose. Hurt often comes from hurt.

  3. Diagnosed with vitiligo

My skin started to change, and I had to learn to stand out all over again.

  4. I stopped hiding

Now I help students build confidence, own their story and see their worth.

Signature program

Seen, Not Silent

Bullying, belonging, identity and the choices students make with each other. Built around my full story, from being bullied to hurting others to finding myself again.

Grades 7 to 11. Keynote, workshops or both.

Keynote

Still Becoming

Confidence, identity and resilience for the teen years. Students look at how their experiences, interests and mistakes shape the way they see themselves.

Great for assemblies.

Keynote

Beyond the Screen

Comparison, likes and online judgment. Less "put your phone down," more "who are you when nobody is liking, commenting or watching?"

Ties in with digital citizenship.

In their words.

She kept the students' attention, not very easy to do in a school. They respected her and they listened to her message.

Teacher, Horizon High School

I highly recommend it for any class, any age. I think her message is worth hearing.

Teacher, Horizon High School

She has a wonderful message and it needs to be heard more and more each day.

Born To Rise

Stories of rising, since 2015.

I founded Born To Rise in 2015 as a space for people to share real stories of overcoming hard things. Everything I bring into a room grows from that belief: when we tell the truth about our story, we help someone else feel less alone.
